Global Workforce Seasonal Visa

Global Workforce Seasonal Visa (GWSV) – Long-Term Certainty for Skilled Seasonal Professionals

Overview

The Global Workforce Seasonal Visa (GWSV) is a premium seasonal pathway designed for highly skilled workers who are essential to New Zealand’s peak production seasons. Unlike traditional seasonal visas, the GWSV is valid for up to 3 years, allowing you to return to New Zealand season after season without needing to re-apply every year.

This visa is perfect for experienced professionals in industries like viticulture, snow sports, agriculture, and adventure tourism who want job security and a recurring connection to New Zealand.

Key Benefits

  • 3-Year Validity: Work up to 9 months per year for 3 consecutive years on a single visa.
  • No English Language Test: IELTS or PTE is not required.
  • No Labour Market Test: Employers do not need to advertise the role first.
  • Pathway to Stability: Secure multi-season employment with one visa approval.

Who Is This For? (Eligible Roles)

The GWSV is designed specifically for skilled roles that require expertise. Common occupations include:

  • Winemakers and Senior Cellar Hands
  • Snow Sports Instructors, Snow Groomers, and Snowmakers
  • Agricultural Technicians (e.g., animal pregnancy scanners)

Note: This visa is not intended for entry-level roles such as fruit picking (see RSE or PSV).
