In line with an earlier announcement by the NZ government, Green List Straight to Residence pathway will open at 10 am on 5 September 2022.
In another recent announcement, a few more digital technology roles will be added to the Green List Straight to Residence pathway by 10 October 2022. However, to get on this pathway, migrants, apart from meeting the qualification requirements specified for these roles, must also be paid an annual salary of at least NZ$ 120,000 (or NZ$57.69 per hour).

Migrants employed in a role on the Green List may qualify for a Straight to Residence Visa or Work to Residence Visa. These occupations were also previously specified in the digital technology exception to the COVID-19 border restrictions.
The application fee and immigration levy will be between NZD 4,020 and NZD 4,890, depending on whether someone is applying from within New Zealand or another part of the world. These fees include Goods and Services Tax (GST) and exclude the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL).
